That is a beautiful piece are the sight dovetails as shallow as they look? It appears as if it would not be hard to completely remove them and flatten the top of that slide? But then it would need refinishing again . It is beautiful.

I’m quite pleased to see the final assembly.
The images remind me of fun times with strobes. I sold my Alien Bees shortly after moving up here. You may want to get tall sights incase your optic fails at a match.
