KOMO 1000 AM just reported this, mentioned good guy wit a gun arrested attacker.
The even interviewed him!
I am surprised, if not shocked.

Help me understand the legal risk/defense for good guy. Was *his* life in danger? No.
At https://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=9A.16.110 you can read "(1) No person in the state shall be placed in legal jeopardy of any kind whatsoever for protecting by any reasonable means necessary, himself or herself, his or her family, or his or her real or personal property, or for coming to the aid of another who is in imminent danger of or the victim of assault, robbery, kidnapping, arson, burglary, rape, murder, or any other violent crime as defined in RCW 9.94A.030."
Seems good, but what evidence did hero have the suspect was the perp? Did he observe an attempted muder (thrown object)? If so, why didn't he shoot?
Did hero have cover? (sounds like no?)
If he'd shot the perp to stop him from throwing, would it have been a "good shoot"?
Hero could have been shot by LE, what did he do to avoid that (so we can learn)?

Coming to the aid of another person is covered
