I gave up my tension for a pension over 2 years ago. I know a guy at Boeing who carries daily (against the rules). He has a little 25 he carries. Personally I think he's a fool to risk a great paying job because if he gets caught it's immediate termination.

Answer: No, it does not.
:thumbsup2:

And.... I'm just a bundle of hurt, when I go out on a service call.

My workplace strictly prohibits firearms. On occasions they bring in police dogs trained in firearm detection and take them through the parking lot.

Pretty sure it's a rights violation unless the lot is private company property. Still stupid though. Why keep your employees from carrying to and from work? I imagine there'd be grounds for a lawsuit if you're robbed or injured and unable to adequately defend yourself outside of work, yet due to company policy (can't commute armed).

I have YET to see a dog that accurately detects firearms. I have had a weapon numerous times with the dogs that supposedly are able to "detect" firearms and have never been caught.

My wifes has a no "guns" policy
But that does not keep her from having her Taurus 85 in her purse.

What the employers dont know dont hurt.

I work in a 'different' environment.

My employer does not control the building or the parking lots, but says that you can't carry or keep weapons in your vehicle, or carry on company time.

They're so hardcore, I had to write up one of my employees, because he was carrying a 'weapon'. The real bitch of it is, the guy from corporate outright lied and said a customer came to him and complained about it.

So, picture this.

Random man is there, standing around, no ID, no badge, no uniform, nothing to indicate he works for the company.. But he claims a lady came up to him and says 'THAT MAN HAS A KNIFE! OMGZ!'.

This 'weapon' was a 2" bladed pocket knife, and the only reason it was spotted was because it was clipped onto his pocket. So, again, this lady that supposedly complained, did so based on a 1" long 1/4" wide piece of metal that was visible... Utter BS.

HR backed up the corporate employee, saying that if a CUSTOMER perceived it as a weapon, it was a weapon, which is why he lied and said a customer said it, because if he said it, he'd be told to pound sand.

So, instead of carrying a 2" pocket knife, he now carries a HUGE folding razor... a 'box cutter'... But it's made by Husky, not S&W, so it's a tool, not a weapon. Yup, you can kill someone 10x easier with it, but it's a 'tool'......and allowed...

Update to note that effective Monday May 19, 2014 our HR manager/mechanic/truck boss/relief driver/relief operator/janitor/parts runner has temporarily lifted the "ban" on carry in commercial vehicles due to the logistics of our current transport and delivery schedules.

If anyone happens to see a candy apple red Kenworth parked near a shooting spot, please don't pick up their brass, as they are antisocial and have been known to bite.

Not at all. Being Self Employed, the Boss encourages open and concealed carry....

No firearms on any company property, more than a few folks have had to find parking in nearby, significantly more expensive lots(attendant on site during business hours) to be able to have their EDC locked in their in their car during the day.

Last year I use to carry my gun to work, and an employee informed management that I carried because she saw a spare mag when i pulled it from the desk... Funny thing, she tried saying that I shouldnt need a gun working graveyard at a hotel because when she works she feels comfortable and doesnt need a gun... So management ends up telling me I can have it in my car but not on me or behind the desk. Fast foreward 9 months, about 3 months ago I had 3 nights off by mistake, and the 2nd night I had off my workplace was robbed at gunpoint... After that, they are happy to have me carry at work
