So, my wife is attending a conference and I'm here tagging along... Naperville, Illinois is just East of Chicago about 25 miles. I just visited the Illinois Gun Works which is about a handful of gun stores and range here in this state near Chicago. If you don't know Illinois it is very restrictive on citizens rights in regards to firearm ownership let alone conceal or open carry. First, you need a FOID - Firearm Owner ID to even buy ammo... Let alone but a gun... So, sitting at a Starbucks here and thinking how it feels like a foreign land... What happened to the rights of US Citizens? This isn't America - back home (in Kent) feels more like the America I went to war and almost gave my life for... Here... Feels like a fake America. Illinois citizens are lamb for the slaughter. At the mercy of the criminals and laws of their own state!

"The price of Liberty is Eternal Vigilance" The squeaky wheel gets the grease. We cannot let this happen here, or anywhere else in the USA. If you do not keep up with current firearms political news, and make your opinions perfectly clear to your state representatives, THE WHOLE COUNTRY WILL END UP BEING A POLICE STATE WITH CRIMINALS AND COPS HAVING THE ONLY SELF DEFENCE TOOLS! What fun!

I'm glad WA is not like that, but even then, WA still has restrictions that other states do not have.

You think it's bad just sitting there, look what Illinois did to the rest of the Country in the last election. Hopefully they stop after giving us the worst President in history and don't give us any of their gun laws.
As for me, personally, I refuse to give any money to any State like that. I've even been known to fill extra gas cans when traveling with my truck and travel trailer so I don't have to stop and by gas in a State like Illinois. About the only thing I'll do there except drive is stop in one of their rest areas to "drop a load". Even better if they have a "Dump Station" for my trailer. Then I'll leave them about 30-40 gallons of "what I think about their laws".
