First time poster, long time reader. I am a US citizen currently living in canada and active in the firearms community up here. I have been wanting to get my washington and utah ccw. According to the website, i am eligible, as a us citizen. Some people have told me that i have to be a resident. Is there a way for me to get a permit as a non resident citizen? any help is appreciated,
Thank you D

I think you can still get a nonresident WACPL... I think..

You can get a non-resident WA CPL. Be warned though, just because you have US residency while living in CA doesn't give you the ability to transport arms across the border without some serious international paperwork.

and since you are not a US resident at this time, it will be almost impossible for you to legally purchase a firearm, unless you obtained one years ago before leaving the country and left it in the care of somebody stateside...
or the next time you will be stateside for 3 mos or more, you can establish residency in a state, buy a firearm, leave it in a safe somewhere that you can return to whenever you are down in the states..
some gun clubs rent lockers for this purpose...
