Legally Armed Chicago Uber Driver Stops Attempted Mass Shooting

Quote:
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — A man began opening fire on a crowd of people with a handgun Friday night, causing everyone to scatter. As this was happening in front of an Uber driver, the driver grabbed his shotgun in an attempt to stop the shooting.

Police identified the suspected gunman as 22-year-old Everardo Custodio. Custodio couldn’t make it to court to hear the judge deny him bail, because he was too busy laying in a hospital bed after being shot multiple times by the Uber driver.

Shot multiple times, or just hit with multiple balls of 00?

Either way, good job! +1 for carrying a SHOTGUN in your car!

I had this idea last night that I could keep a lockable case with my rifle in the trunk of the car but my wife thought I was "being a crazy gun nut."

I probably am, and the odds are I would never need that rifle, but I bet this guy (and all the people being shot at by a crazy man) is glad he had his shotgun.

shotgun in a crowd? I only read the original article but I'd be concerned about ?buckshot? missing the intended target. Yes, I know I'm picking nits and good for him stopping a mass shooter but...

The original article says HANDGUN.

"The driver pulled out a handgun and fired six shots at Custodio, hitting him several times, according to court records. Responding officers found Custodio lying on the ground, bleeding, Quinn said. No other injuries were reported."

It could have been a " Taurus Judge or S&W Governor" loaded with .410 Buckshot.

Firearms owner identification card. Such bullshit.

Awesome otherwise.

Hey, it's Chicago. Not sure where the shotgun came from. I think it must've been a misprint on one of the original articles.

Well Uber just banned carry for drivers and passengers. You know what Uber? Fuck you. You can ban me from your platform if you want. I am legally packing.
