Buffett and the Koch brothers. I've been in the same room as Bill Gates Sr. and Bill Gates Jr. and never saw any security...hell, Bill Gates Sr. drove himself there in BMW 7-series.

The meeting had security all over the place. I went through three layers of visible security to get into the room. However at the two celebrations, where I was much closer to him, as far as I know or noticed, there was none. They were the kind that you don't see, but they were near enough to matter. Bill doesn't usually need or want "close protection" to be super close. But he's protected.

Bill Sr. had no one - he came and went by himself without any additional entourage. Bill Jr. was with Melinda...but every time this topic comes up, everyone says the same thing "you didn't see them" - sorry, I find that very hard to believe - I was bored out of my mind at this event and just spent the entire dinner looking for his security. Perhaps they were posted outside the ballroom, they certainly were not inside it.
