Post subject:  Carry in CenturyLink Events Center?

Hi guys,

I'm going to the Seattle International Auto Show this weekend and am trying to figure out if I can (concealed) carry at CenturyLink Events Center. Yes, I have my CPL. Their website says you can't carry at CenturyLink Field but doesn't address the Events Center building. I'm hoping one of you knows for sure.

If I drive down and park in the garage, no big deal if I have to take my pistol back to the car (I have the ability to secure it). But if I take the bus and train down, I'll have nowhere to put the pistol if they wand me and don't let me in with it...and to be honest, if I needed it at all, chances are I would need it on the bus and train.

Thanks,
John

Great question. I would drive and be prepared to go back to your car - but I doubt it. Running the metal detectors is something they only really do for sporting events.

They have been putting up the metal detectors at most events now. Mostly because they are easier to manage(light weight and portable that doesn't require an engineering degree to set up). So, don't be surprised.

At WaMu Theater for the auto show last year, they did not have wands or other metal detectors. They did not pat me down either. I went during the week at time frame of low attendance. I'm sure I wasn't the only person.........looking at trucks.

Thanks, guys. I guess I'll plan to drive and then do what's necessary when I get there.

Thanks for checking.

The auto show starts tomorrow morning so it'll be interesting to see if that changes.

I personally have not seen them the past few times I've been to the events center.

It is possible to carry (concealed) at Century Link field. I won't divulge how, but it is pretty simple.
I'm a season Seahawks ticket holder and I know how it's done...
