I've read several websites and looked up classes online, and can take a live class soon.
But what I don't understand is - will I get the license if I take the class?
It seems like I cannot get a UT license without first getting a WA license, so I can't use UT as a way to solve the 'no fingerprinting until further notice' problem.
And, it seems like I can take the classes, but will still be subject to applications, a police department willing to fingerprint me, and the whims of a sheriff whether he wants to issue or not...
Am I basically screwed and unarmed until Fauci says it's safe to live my fucking life again?

AZ is constitutional carry. So you used to get it to "unlock" some Southwestern states' reciprocity. No longer the case. Need Wa to get Utah. I did a class years ago to get Oregon and Utah. That gets me 35-37 states I believe.

So it sounds like my understanding is right. I can't get a permit until the sheriff in my area starts doing his job again?

But, it's not about the requirements that other states have. It's about Washington's requirements: https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=9.41.073If you are a WA resident, then WA will only recognize a WA CPL.

I was planning to go through them, but then I noticed that none of it will make me free from infringement from driving in my car with my AR-9 until the police in WA start fulfilling their obligation to me.

Did I miss where the AZ class is offered online? Looks like all in person only...

While you wait... For both WA State and taking the class for AZ and/or UT. I would recommend you request AZ and/or UT application packets. Arizona https://www.azdps.gov/services/public/c ... 20envelope. Utah https://bci.utah.gov/concealed-firearm/ ... rm-permit/Some of it you can do online (upload documents etc). But you can always just order the "packet" sent to you. I have UT and just renewed online. Was way too easy (the way it should be). Do the paperwork, pay the fees. Remember each state has their own rules about what/how/where to conceal. *some classes may have packets but they may just tell you to order one yourself after the class

Thanks.
I was hoping to take a class that handled everything, but this state makes a fingerprinted at a police station the monopoly bottleneck on my rights. Really sucks.

FBI fingerprint cards are available on Amazon. Ditto the ink pad. Roll your own. The UT class that I took years ago did the prints there, everybody partnered up & helped each other.

Yes, but make really sure that your local PD or sheriff will accept that fingerprint card, before you do.

Just learned some hopeful news here: https://www.reddit.com/r/WA_guns/commen ... ms_lawyer/Kirkland PD will accept CPL applications with 3rd party fingerprints, at least for now. Kirkland is part of King County. I live in Seattle, part of King County. As I understand it, I can go to the county if my city PD isn't available. It's something I have to verify.
