Any gunsmiths here know how to press out a barrel pun on an AK? I have a stubborn one and my press won't take it out. I'll probably have you take out the barrel as well. I'm in Everett, but I'll be down near Puyallyup Thurs evening.

It is a Romy G. This is the first I've heard of it being difficult. I have heard on AK's the pin typically goes out one way. I'm making it into a bullpup. Just to try, was thinking of just welding the front trunnion into the reciever. For ease of build, but my welder and welding skills are not up to snuff. I usually need to practice/setup on a similar metal. I should be able to reassemble the barrel, but its a bench press, so the bench needs a hole! The pins are the same size on both ends, not tapered so they will go whichever way you press them. The Romy G kits are INCREDIBLY hard to get out. I have a 12 ton press and a pin pusher that I made and it will push just about any barrel pin BUT the Romy G pins. I usually have to drill them out and make a new pin.
