Ron,
I had mine this far apart, and the toughest part about re-assembly was the sear. trying to get my fat fingers in the frame to hold it, (against the sear spring and the hammer spring tension).
Is your lanyard ring threaded in, or pressed in?
I didn't have any trouble re-assembling the sear. The friggin pin holding the trigger group was my biggest challenge, despite the fact that I had already took it out once and re-assembled it to remove the magazine safety disconnect. It just doesn't get any easier. I actually put a very small mar on my newly blued finish with the punch when I was trying to replace the fire control group retaining pin. My kingdom for an easier way to remove and replace this pin! Some select swear words were uttered. And the lanyard ring. As you can see, I did not get it back in. I tried but to no avail. I think the bluing may have filled in the hole slightly because I could not get it to seat flush despite pounding the shit out of it with my mallet. I decided to give up, lest I slip and add another blemish to the finish.
