Calif. gun shop fights ATF over customer’s names A Southern California gun shop operator has obtained a temporary restraining order in U.S. District Court against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives over an effort by ATF agents to obtain a list of their customers, and the agency has until Friday to file an opposition to that court motion.

I almost but the bullet on some of those EP's a few weeks ago, but by the next AM, I had forgotten. Whoa!

Nutnfancy did a video recently on these guys down @ Ares Armor. Seem like a good group of guys. They're located in a burb called National City, and the damn city council is trying to basically shut them down because of a large "black rifle" sign. Quite American.

IF I were to buy one of these 80 percenters, I utilize the anonymity that private mailboxes provide. For $140 per year one can rent a mailbox in just about any city in the country to receive any shipment they want kept anonymous.
If the operator won't rent without Photo ID, on to the next. Last one I rented for a small business I owned was a totally anonymous operation. Only "Picture ID" I needed was the kind that had a Dead President's face on it (or Ben Franklin's).
Want to be even more anonymous? Send a homeless guy in to pick up any package and bring it to you in a public parking lot.
That's how much I trust the ATF over the 80% Receivers. Today legal, tomorrow a ticket to a Federal Pen.

Well, that may and may not work.
I'm not sure that's the way I'd want do do things. Legal or not, it has the air of being in the gray area.
DON'T FORGET TO READ MY UPDATE IN THE FIRST POST, ABOVE!!!!!!!!! CAUGHT ON CAMERA...

It's an interesting claim that they are completed lowers and then filled in with another plastic. That seems to be what this whole investigation hinges on.
I am sure there are much faster, easier, and cheaper ways for that to be verified rather that raiding the locations.
