Heads Up! Update - it's a GO! Got Board of Director's approval 6/2/11 I'll start making flyers and posting more info by next weekI am working out the details but I hope to be coordinating a suppressor shoot for those closer to the Seattle area for Sunday, July 24, 2011. This will be scheduled for the evening around 3-7pm at Renton Fish and Game Club http://www.rfgc.orgI have a few folks with suppressors and 2 companies or FFL's willing to pitch in. Please do know that there is a suppressor shoot scheduled already for Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club. http://www.waguns.org/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=919I had hope to see one closer so since I see no formal movement... I am picking up the ball. Vendors:This is free. No cost to you. I do ask we need to come to terms on ammo charges, etc but those details we can work out. *RF&GC is centrally located in the Seattle area and is a public range so we'll invite the public to come. Shooters and those interested:Just pay the normal range fee for using RF&GC ($12) This is still tentative and in the works. Nothing is set. But I do need folks interested in helping out or putting this on to PM or email me. FYI: Sunday, July 24th is also a Championship USPSA match at Renton Fish and Game Club. If you have never seen USPSA... this may be a great opportunity to watch and learn as well as shoot a suppressor! Thanks! Stay tuned!

So if you have or know a company or person(s) that have suppressors willing to demo and let folks actually shoot them. Give them my contact. oldkim@aol.com

Cool! Thanks everyone helping out with this... I had intended to use the Action Bays but USPSA is holding their Championship Match so we will use the pistol and rifle range... I'm still working out the details... As for the one shot for rifle... we will hold true to that rule for center fire rifles... On the .22 ranges (pistol) we can shoot a bit more. So, I'm thinking there will be more .22 cans (pistol and rifle)... This is just to demo and be able to shoot suppressors (silencers) or "can." Not a machine gun shoot.

Update: It's a GO - I have Board of Director's approval 6/2/11 I'll start coordinating and getting flyers up at various locations. I'll need help here to get it to as many places we can...Thanks to the Board of Director's at Renton Fish and Game Club www.rfgc.org we'll have it posted on the website in the next few weeks or sooner... I will need help getting the flyers to different locations so we can spread the word to the public. Also if you or someone you know would like to be a vendor (it's free) and showcase and demo your suppressors please contact me. I also need volunteers to help with crowd control and organizing this too... So any help would be appreciated. oldkim@aol.com

So to be direct no.
They will be on the other side of the berm. USPSA will most likely be done around 4:30 - 5 ish
We'll have enough time later in the day to show the full potential of suppressors.

We'll have enough time later in the day to show the full potential of suppressors. I wonder if the match director can make that stage the first to be finished.......... I know each squad has to go through the stage, but it would help if they made that particular stage the easiest one of the match. That way there would at least be a gap between squads. It would suck if that was the hardest/most complicated stage of the match. Those stages have bottle-necks, and could still be shooting long after all the other stages are torn down.

After a little coaxing, I got Gary from Silencerco to come to this event. He is a great source of info on all things silencer. I told him to bring a box of swag to pass out.
