You all remember that little USO Rifle Build / Shoot thing we did a bit ago? Well, this is a potential continuation of that.

The results of the USO Shoot and AR giveaway netted $1,600 for the U.S.O. and we are prepared to send that check in! There is an additional opportunity here though that is worth mentioning. On September 22, 2012, the USO is hosting a Gala Event as a fundraiser for the Puget Sound USO.

I'll quote directly off the site to help summarize the event;


WaGuns can get a table seating 10 for $2,500. We have $1,600 already, so would need to generate $900 more. This would be a fantastic opportunity to show support for the USO, meet and greet with our military as well as dine on some decent chow.

So, if there is enough interest and commitments in the next 30 days for 10 people to go, payment will be due and we will reserve a table. It will be $90/seat. This is a black-tie / nice suit affair, so please plan accordingly. You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the event.

Also, if you cannot attend, but enough people chip in for a partial seat, then we can PIF a seat to one of our members, or donate that seat to a USO Serviceman

I just got an email from Commander Donald Leingang (US Navy Retired) who is the Executive Director of the USOPSA. He told me that there are still a few tables left and that he checked out the USO Shoot that we did and appreciates the support.

I'm in. I'll have to get a suit. No reason like a good reason.

Most likely can't go... but I'm in for a PIF with MadPick for a seat.
