Yeah, a number of us are bringing steel . . . so please, no penetrator-type rounds if you're shooting at someone else's steel targets.

Any idea if any of the steel is usable & will be set up on the pistol side?
Or should I plan on bringing a stand and paper targets?

Maybe I'm the right Dan? I can bring a dueling tree but the paddles tend to flop a little more than wanted or expected but its fairly functional and I'm willing to bring it

But there is a Disney plush reindeer that I really want to shoot. If I put down a tarp and take him out on that, would that be OK?

Sure, why not. But you are in charge of clean up.

You've made our day!

Don't forget Pooter Butt. :ROFLMAO:

Yhea you can't come unless Pooter comes with!!

Unfortunately, I will be working. My only chance of making it is if I'm able to finish early. Being a holiday weekend, the odds are slim.

Reminds me of a scene from Lethal Weapon II...

It's the "Day before the day before". :)
Looking forward to a cold blustery day, perhaps fused with snow flurry's and black powder clouds. :)

One of the things that we do every year is give away shit . . . lots of shit. We'll have a roll of raffle tickets, and we'll give everyone one ticket and then throw them into a hat.

So . . . if you have something cool to give away, BRING IT! :mulletslayer:

I'll be bringing some SHOT Show swag and a few other things.

Brad's Guns has donated two rimfire exploding targets, a small pistol case (Cobra brand), and a set of black sights that will fit a Kimber:

And Bill from Washougal River Cartridge Company has donated two 250-packs of 9mm Luger ammunition as well as a partial box (41 rounds) of 1962 vintage Federal MATCH ammo in .45 Auto, with headstamp "FC 62 MATCH":

^ Thanks to Ops for delivering these items today!

I don't really have anything cool to bring and shoot unless someone wants to try out the Model 1871 Cavalry Mauser (made in 1876). Fires an 11mm Mauser round, kinda rare.

The rest of my stuff are things you will find at most ranges. I have some interesting things, like a K98K and a DSM34 Hitler Youth training rifle but I don't think anyone would be that interested in shooting a 22LR single shot version of a Mauser.

You have a really funny idea of what people won't be interested in. icon_eek

:frust: Well, I won't be making the trip south this year. Somehow managed to mess up my left shoulder. :crybaby:
Have fun, be safe and dress warm, it's supposed to snow on Sunday.

I don't plan on going, if I wanted to talk half the day I'd call the suicide hotline
