I went last year to the expo in Tacoma and then also to the VIP fund raiser in Tukwila. Both were fun, but not like SHOT. I was impressed by some of the manufacturers and vendors who showed up for the inaugural show last year; there were some good booths with neat products. At the same time, I was able to see every booth while stopping to check things out, chit-chat, blah, blah, blah, in about an hour. Last year it had good quality booths, but the quantity wasn't there yet. Some of the booths had pretty good deals going on, so that may make it worth the trip if there is anything you're about to buy.

It's not SHOT show, it's a mini PNW gun expo, just keep that in mind and it'll be fun.

I will say be careful what and how you order at Alfred's. Not that the food is in any way bad, but they have a peculiar way of doing things there sometimes.....

At work several years back, I had a couple of corporate mid-wigs visiting for customer meetings, and I took them to Alfred's. One guy ordered a cobb salad. Apparently their standard method of serving it is to pile all the makings in a big bowl, but keep them separated. So lettuce in one pile, chicken in a pile, eggs in a pile, etc. But it's the customer's choice if you want it served that way. Our very effeminate server seemed to enjoy just a little too much having the opportunity to ask the guy, "Would you like that salad tossed?"

There were 6 of us, 4 in full deer-in-the-headlights mode for about 4 seconds while corp Ops Mgr guy debates the question, stalling with "Ummmm....", and finishing with "yeah, that's fine". As soon as the server/bartender was gone, we about fell off our barstools with laughter. The other guy, the corp safety mgr, didn't get it at all and was asking "what's so funny?" Between that, and watching Ops guy finally realize what just happened, made us laugh all the harder!

So? Any reports? Anything cool? Anything new? FB and many forums have been very silent about it, which is strange.

Meh. Cool to see so much AR stuff in one place but I would have been pissed had there been an entrance fee.

I did get to check out the Sig rangefinders. That's probably my next purchase.

Agreed. It was ARs ARs and more ARs. But with free admission and $6 for parking it was aight.

And we picked up 3,000 rounds of 115gr reman 9mm for $80/500 with no tax. So that made it worth it right there.

We also loaded up on 380 and 9mm for the 80/500 deal. Bought a sweet ruger bag and tactical ar stock for cheap. Also got two high quality Amend2 AR mags for cheap. Got some stickers and swag and shirts.

Just won a tactical ar stock with pad. Nice. It was funny because we bought one two hours earlier. Fine to get another for all the builds I have going.
