MADrtcw and I had a meeting with the Forest Service this morning, getting ready for our shindig on the 16th. This is going to be a good one . . . we're going to hit the cleanup work at 10:00, and we'll be shooting before we know it.

This is now two weeks away, so let's drum up some interest here. It's a good chance for folks to meet other WaGuns members, get to know Greenwater if you're not familiar with it, and meet our Forest Service friends who do so much to keep these areas open for all forms of recreation, including shooting.

If anyone who's coming wants to try a particular type of gun, post that up and we'll see if we can make it happen.

My next buy will probably be an inexpensive yet reasonably accurate .22 pistol for the ranch. Love my Marlin but get tired of carrying it around. Wheel gun or semi... I'll bring plenty of ammo to share.

Due to the forest fires, smoke, and general mayhem that seems to be everywhere, the Forest Service is postponing this event. We're looking at dates in October, exact date TBD at the moment.
