Country Cousin does take reservations if we get them in early enough. A friendly lass name of Alyssa would have taken the reservation today iffen I'd have had a good count of the attendees.

Dan has verified the grub is still great and the vote is leaning towards Saturday, 12 January at 9 AM.
O_K, we don't want to miss seeing you, so hopefully you will find a way to grace us with your presence. I promise that we'll keep the Balrog away from your plate of bacon. She'll have her own. :thumbsup2:

Scorpion Rider needs the date settled for his planning, so let's grab Saturday. This lets us get in to the Centralia Gun Show on the first day also.

Any objections? Additions? Changes? Recommendations? Regrets?

Yes, 9am.
Just discovered a little hiccup for us. There is a 7000 pound forklift in the bed of my pickup, and my crane won't start.
Working on it.

Just use a forklift to get it out.

I know you think you’re being funny ... but I bet he has three other forklifts sitting there waiting to be used!

That's what I'm betting on too.

Only one of the forklifts has the capacity for the forklift in the pickup... But it would have to be a tip-load. I don't crave the excitement of tip loading a 7000# forklift (weight) on a 7000# capacity forklift. The excitement of tipping over ONTO the pickup would be intense, and excitement is cool. Hmm.

The Dreaded Princess suggested picking it up with two forklifts, one on each side of the pickup and drive out from under it. That isn't going to happen when the only other driver at the chicken ranch this evening is the Dread Princess. :ROFLMAO:
You guys... I swear... If you got to watch her helping me with even rigging. I have let loose the most horrible strings of words ever while she was "helping" me. For continued marital bliss, I do all my rigging, backing up to hook up trailers, etc.

John Deere put the starter motor in the tightest spot on this motor.

Right back behind that cast protuberance is a 5/8" nut on a stud. I simply can't use my right arm in a way that allows me to remove it.

Ah I edit to add - Found out a few days ago that the long standing problem in the right shoulder includes a torn labrum, rotator cuff torn bigly but not all the way through, and here's the corker : One of the tendons or ligaments that is supposed to be attached to the upper bone in the arm (the one that the bicep is over) is most likely no longer attached to that bone. As the screaming pain and inflammation has subsided after the steroid injection, the long stringy burning feeling of the tendon or ligament (sorry, forgot which he said) is making it's presence felt.

So that is why a starter motor that I have removed and replaced twice over the years is still bolted into the crane, while the new one sits on the crane fender.
Unused.
