February Breakfast! Your thoughts? (South End)

Tue Jan 29, 2019 9:37 am

Alright folks! Time to hash-out the big February South-end B-fast!

Last month the "Second Sunday" breakfast turned into a "Second Saturday" @ Country Cousin Restaurant in Centralia. It worked very well for those headed to 'opening day' of the gunshow, but didn't quite work for everybody. The 2nd Weekend of Feb is another Centralia Gunshow Weekend.

So:
Saturday, Feb 9th @ 9am
Country Cousin Restaurant
1054 Harrison Ave,
Centralia, WA 98531
That's right off I-5 at exit 82 (West side of I-5.)

If you have strong feelings about location or Saturday vs. Sunday PLEASE speak up.

I'm hoping to be caught up with what I fell behind on while at SHOT by then.
The date and time are a go with the PMB crew.

Unfortunately, with the snow I now have to be available for work and won’t make it.

I may have spoke too soon. The on call guy is getting a hotel and staying in town, so I probably can make breakfast.

It’s 8:45 and I’m at the restaurant. Not sure if anybody else is showing or not.

Yhea. Woke up this AM and realized that drive isn’t going to happen.

We woke this morning to a nice coating of the white stuff... Beautiful. I told the miniature heart destruction creature to look out the floor window.
She slipped open the curtain and stood there for about 5 seconds before whispering "wow". I loved her reaction.

We could have driven up there... Two things dissuaded me.
1. Snow isn't scary to drive in in the least for me. Other drivers are scary.
2. Ms Balrog would be riding along.

I was going to be hauling a big load up to Centralia for RENCORP but found out yesterday that he was going to miss his first Centralia gun show since 2011 due to snow.

Are you the only one there?

Take a selfie and post up for the WaGuns' Feb 2019 South End Breakfast. :wagwoot:

Owen made it down. We had a good breakfast with some good discussion about lots of subjects. It was worth the drive for me.

I didn’t see your email until almost 3 this afternoon, so sorry, no pictures.

Wasn't sure I would make it at first. You know that thin line between "brave" and "foolhardy"? Yeah, I don't know where that is.

We got a good 6-8" here SE of Yelm. My little Prizm, aimed at the road, was scraping a lot of snow just to get out of the driveway. One or two pickup trucks had been down our mile long street, so I got to slide back and forth between left/right tracks with my narrow wheel-base. It was a little dicey the first few miles after that, mostly packed snow and a little slush on 507/Old 99 untill I got to I5. Just kept the RPM's down and... That's why I drive a stick. thumbsup

Pulled in just a few minutes after scorpion rider and had a good breakfast and chat! :thumbsup2:

Special delivery to Battle Ground and home by 2:20! :joecool:
