Figured I would post this to see if there was interest on the Northern side for a group buy.
I would be willing to coordinate or let someone else do it. Frankly there might be a better source. So if there is chime in!

Looks to be around 6.25-7.75 a can.

thoughts?

Edit: OK I fixed you complainers!
Let's see about the shipping, I'll look around and see what we might be able to come up with. I had to do some a year or so ago so I'll follow up with those contacts and see.

Depending on the final cost, I'd take a dozen.

My quick math shows it to be around $5.41/can before shipping ($595/110). How are you arriving at $0.25/can?

Depending on shipping it could be a great deal, but shipping is going to be freight, which isn't usually cheap in my experience. Could put the price into the decent or ok range, but that might reduce your number of participants.

Phonics or Ebonics get you there.

I need a few cans, maybe 5.

I would guess that the freight for one pallet from Texas to Washington is going to be $350ish. So figure an extra $3-4 per can.

Freight is a lot less to a commercial business or if you pick up at the terminal - just keep that in mind.

I just shipped a grapple on a pallet from NC to Tacoma (dock pickup) for about $120.

I could use a dozen depending on condition of course.

I suspect that Paris meant to type $6.25 a can, but fumbled the Shift key. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I just realized I threw out that # based upon what I ship, which is all refrigerated. Dry/non-refrigerated would be less.

I split a pallet of ammo cans with a mate. All the cans on the outside looked great, the ones stacked in the center of the cube were mostly rusty dented shyte. Mind you, wasn't the same seller, but one never knows until the package is unwrapped. Rather like in the old days with arraigned marriages.

That's always the danger but sounds like they might be fairly good. As i mentioned above:

Good point to whoever pointed out getting at the distrib center or shipped to commercial doc might work better. (And be a whole lot cheaper!)
Will check into that. I might have a contact I could get to help there. Anyone else have a contact that we could use?

Update of overall costs:
Based on guestimate of dimensions and weight.
shipping to the terminal in Bellingham For YRC looks to be around $220 for 1 and $370 for 2 pallets, Plus gas to drive up there (call that $25). Need to verify the shipping class though before standing on those.

Might be able to get it delivered to residential for $470's working on getting into another site I have used in the past. Anyone else have a business dock that could take these and I would coordinate to be there to transfer and get them out of the way?

So if the numbers above end up being close to true that makes the cost:
($595 + $220 + $25) / 110 = $7.65 or so a piece. I have a couple of questions into the poster so I will post when I get an answer.

If you get half good and half dented to crap, will you "tier" the purchase price?
