This is out of the new Prairie Dog gun that I just put together....

It did not love my previous 223 load.
I had to move the Ogive out .065 from my previous specs.

Still the same 53gr Hornady V-Max and AA2230 powder.

I think I have a winner.
What do you think?...…

Nice! Those bullets have been good to me as well, but not quite that good!

What's your OAL now?

I love those bullets.
Hell I probably have 20,000 of them.
I cleaned out one of my distributers when they closed them out.

I don't measure OAL.
I measure to the Ogive in order to get away from any "tip variances".

I run a "Fred Sled" single shot adapter in the gun so I don't worry about any magazine fit issues.

I am running 1.845" to the Ogive.

Nah, I'd tweak it a little there Big Daddy. Hell, that would be a good 25 yard group for me Randy! Nice shooting.

The 50lb front rest sure as hell helps a lot.
Now that I have the load figured out, it will be the bipod only from here on out.

This type of groups, at least for me, will not happen off the bipod.....

I have seen "sling shooters" do this at our 500 yard matches.
You sure as hell won't see me doing it...LOL

I am the world's worst off hand shooter.
