i use Lee dies but for calibers I have found that Lee is not the preferred die. I had to weld the decapping pin to the collet in my Lee .300 BO set to keep it in place. For .223 I use a RCBS universal decapper because I run so much range brass that I gave up trying to keep the Lee decapper pin in place.

Haven't broken a pin yet but I bought some extras just in case I broke one recently. It was my own fuckup though, I didn’t have the case straight as it was going into the die, so the pin just hit solid brass. So I pressed the handle harder....

Seriously, I have no Effing clue. I reload 9, 45, 44, 38, 357, 300BLK, 308, and 7MM. The only one that has had any issues is that damn 6.5CM I don't get it. It's like someone put a curse on my 6.5 brass gunblaster wrote: pistolpeter1911 wrote: I already bent two decapping rods Wait, you BENT two decapping rods? Something is seriously wrong here. The die is supposed to let the rod slide up if there's too much pressure Doesn't work if you crank the collet down too tight, but the don't really say how tight it should be https://leeprecision.com/files/instruct/90292.pdf

Maybe that’s why hartcreek busted out the welder.... If mine moved I would just tighten it up till it didn’t and have not had a problem with the thousands of range or primer crimped brass that goes through my presses. You guys are animals... I use the “If it don’t fit don’t force it” rule, there’s less fixin if ya don’t jump on the handle with both feet.

Well, the new decapper worked. I don't get it, maybe it was that particular RCBS die? I dont know. Ive never had a problem with RCBS dies.
Anyway, on with LEE for 65 Creedmoor
I also bought the resizer, Ill try that tonight, I dont feel like messing with the sizing wax right now.
