I've been reloading for a long time and have been using Xtremes since the beginning (9mm/45acp/357/44mag/.223) - Hell I've even been to the Carson City plant and bought a shitload :thumbsup2: .
My kid and a friend both shoot 10 so I recently picked up everything I've needed for my Dillon 550 to reload all the brass I've accumulated over the years.
Anyway, I've looked in my reloading manuals and online but plated bullets (Xtreme/ Berrys) have nothing for Ramshot Silhouette for any plated bullets...I've got 12 pounds of Silhouette because I use it for 9mm and 45acp
What are ya loading using Ramshot and or Xtreme bullets??

I've loaded 165-grain X-tremes with CSB-1 and Longshot, and 180-grain X-tremes with CSB-1.

Nothing with Sihouette though, sorry.

Thanks. I also have a bunch of AA#2/#7 & #9 ?

According to Xtreme they say:
Our Copper Plated Bullets can be run at mid-range jacketed velocities or higher end lead velocities. We recommend keeping velocities to less than 1500 FPS (Feet Per Second) and using only a light taper crimp

Any velocities over 1200 FPS we recommend either our Heavy Plate Concave Base or Hollow Point products for superior accuracy. We recommend keeping velocities to less than 1500 FPS (Feet Per Second) and using only a light taper crimp

Probably going to work up my own load but I'll start at the bottom of the lead range and compare them to store bought. I figure ladder loads will stop me from blowing up a glock - not worried about the colt

Actually we have a friend who blew up a Glock. Marcus323 and I discussed the "whys" and "what Happened". I don't want to blow up his replacement or my son's Delta Elite :wink05:

Assuming you're intending to load the 180gr bullets, that data from Ramshot for 180gr is just fine to use with that powder. I load 7.4 gr of Silhouette for general practice and 8.3 gr for practicing like you're shooting some self defense loads. These are used in a G29.

I use 14.0 grains of AA#9 under xtreme 180's l.125 OAL. Works great about 1250 fps..Kind of like Sig Crown Series ammo. This is just MY plinking load use at your own risk of course. It is listed in the books as well.

I don't remember the exact load but I would load my 10mm 165gr FP Xtremes with #7 closer to the high end of the load range from Accurate's data sheet. Shot fine out of my Glock 29.
