Nitro_guns had a great deal on an annealer a few days ago in the classifieds. I'll try the search o matic funtion and see what pops up. Edit: check this post for now. Randy mentions his annealer at the end. Try to p.m. him, he'll treat you right. viewtopic.php?f=29&t=114035

Yeah, Nitro sold that one that he had up.
I have the original Annealeez. It works fine, no complaints except that I feel like it’s a bit difficult to get the flame positioned correctly. But, I get it there eventually and it works.

Induction annealers, for the most, part are slower and are great for doing a couple hundred cases at a time. These comments are a generalization of course. I still use my 2 Giraurd propane annealers for 90% of my loading. The are set-up for "dedicated" cartridges. One for 223/5.56 and one for 308/7.62. The induction machines, including my new super fancy one, are for the 100 size case runs for the most part.

I dont need a commercial one, have 100 good brass for 6.5, 80 win fc for .308 and a butt load of .223/5.56
Got a new propane torch head and did 25 of the .308 tonight, came out alot better then last attempt. Plan on loading some annealed vs non-annealed and seeing if any improvement is to be gained

So my Prairie Dog gun from this year, which did not like un-annealed" brass when it was newer, apparently doesn't mind it so much now.... The gun has about 800 rounds thru it. Not my best shooting for sure however this was about testing a theory....LOL Same exact load and specs that IT DID NOT LIKE in April now seems to be acceptable. This is why we scratch our heads some times.... Note: The orange dot is the size of a nickel and this is 10 rounds. The 3 lower right holes are the first 3 fired with a cold, clean barrel. These were shot at 100 yards. I was too lazy to walk to 200....LOL I think it shows some promise.

Just continues to amaze me how things can change, for the better, after several hundred rounds down the barrel.

I got an AMP annealer and I've been very pleased with it. Buy once, cry once. My brass lasts longer, I can't really determine if it is more consistent but it can't be worse.

Took out a .233 and .308 and neither liked annealed vs the non annealed. Then read some brass isn't accurate til the second annealing. I measured the non annealed after the the 5th or so firing and it was about .003 shorter then the annealed firing. So perhaps work hardened. Had to leave for work so I'll anneal the same batch when I get home and see if it helps

I was going to do a "informational video" of how I do it but just never did. Not sure it would be that helpful. I have had a few guys come over and walked them thru my process. Not saying mine is the best but it definitely works for me.

Annealing makes a HUGE difference when seating bullets for competition 45/70 BP hand loads. A lot of folks think annealing is only required for necked cartridges, NOT TRUE! Straight Wall needs love too with single shot rifles. Brass type makes a difference too. And the way you seat the bullet (some bullet casts require aligning to the case, long story, but if you ever get into BP reloads and do the research, you'll understand)

Calibers range from 40-65 all the way up to 50-140 and everything in between. Great points sportsdad60
