I'm going to make the plunge into reloading, i'm getting one of the basic lee setups for my .38 special, and probably going to start using my friends press for 5.56.

Where online should i start shopping for bulk powder and primers?

Right now with the current shortage? I really don't know.

In normal times, a couple of my favorites are:

Powder Valley: https://www.powdervalleyinc.com/
Graf and Sons: https://www.grafs.com/

Most retailers are limiting what little they have to 1k per order and charging 2-3x what they used to. For those prices with hazmat/shipping it is closing on $90+/1k.

Only real bulk offerings I've seen are here in WAguns. Yes they are expensive compared to 2yrs ago, but even $100/1k primers and $30-$40/lb still saves a ton of money even over current steel case prices. Cheapest steel case 9mm I've seen is ~$350/1k.

Primers $100/1k
Bullets $80/1k (American Reloading)
Powder $40/lb
Brass free range pickup
Total $220/1k
Savings $130/1k

Reloading right now has significant saving despite the increase in prices.

Online has been the standard but currently places like cabelas, coastal, skagit arms, ect can have gems on the self.
