There was a time when it was probably worth trying, but IMO not since about 2013.
Commercial plated bullets are typically not capable of the same velocity that you can do with powder coating, but a lot of that is because of the soft lead core in plated bullets. If you were able to figure out an easy & fast plating process (like 300-500 bullets in 20 minutes), and plated hard or moderately hard cast bullets, it might be worth pursuing. But my understanding is the home plating processes are more like a handful of bullets over many hours.
