I had me dies stacked up on my scale shelf since I got back into r
Loading. What a PITA when the set of dies you want to use is at the bottom of the stack so Yestrrday afternoon I made a rack to hold them. Two dies per shelf. It will make it easier to grab what I want.
I have to make another shelf for the other dies I don't use that much. I have them stacked on a shelf under my bench.

Put together some 40mm chalk rounds. Once the RTV sets I can fill the windshields with chalk and glue them on

Are these home-made? Did you have a guide? One reason I've been hesitant to get a grenade launcher (32mm or 40mm) is the cost of ammo and practically of ownership.

I assembled them myself. The components are a little harder to track down than typical reloading stuff but it’s not too bad. Practically it doesn’t make sense, but it’s a lot of fun

They use a .38 S&W charge

]I worked up my home cast home made shot gun slug mold load a few days ago. 1 1/4 oz slug that sits in a Remington shotgun slug. I settled on 18 grains of Unique in 2 3/4 inch plastic hulls. I used 18, 19 and 20 grains. The 19 grains was a bit much. I loaded up 105 of them last night. When I shot them out of my Mossberg 500 with tube barrel they few fairly straight and put a wapping big hole in the bottom of a smudge pot thirty feet away. I did not chrono them. I used an over the shot wad to hold the slugs in place in the wad.

500 rounds of 9mm Luger along with 100 rounds of 38 Special loaded this weekend. Both calibers loaded with plated bullets as the indoor range I belong to does not allow lead bullets (except for 22LR).

This week off & on, I finish a 1 pound jug of IMR3031 (about 3/4 full) which yielded 210 rounds 223. I used new Winchester cases, CCI450 primers, Hornady 55g FMJBT pills and 23g of powder. This has been my go to load for general shooting.

Also loaded the remaining 50) .308 Hornady 125g HPFB bullets, (300BLK) with 16.9g of W296 and my converted cases.
These are for SD/HD.

Today I learned something that I didn't want to know: That CBC (Magtech) 10mm brass has crimped primer pockets. :cussing:

Image

Well, I guess that's gonna be an extra step in processing . . . .

And yes, I know that brass is a nice variety of colors. I bought it, and the seller wet-tumbled it . . . and clearly used a bit too much Lemishine in some of the batches. :facepalm2: Oh well, it'll buff out when I tumble it again after shooting it.

That sucks

Doesn't look like too much of a crimp. Are you going to ream them or swag?

I swag all my rifle brass but they have a heavier crimp. I would think reaming would be the way to go on those
