Yep, just a half tablespoon of Dawn + the Lemi-shine stuff is what I use, just a teaspon or so of the powder. I understand there is a gel, but we don't want to use that for some reason.

Try auto wash soap that contains wax. Better than Dawn, IMHO

In addition to Lemi-shine, I use armor-all car wash. It cleans great and the brass stays bright and shiny.
