You can not go wrong with Wes’s set up and method. Lee 4 hole turret press, rcbs uniflow and a decent scale. I miss that dude
Just come down again and ill walk you through it and take you shopping. Like Wes did for me, just try it a few times to be sure with my stuff then get your own if you still want. It’s an expensive habit but a lot of fun because you can tailor a load for anything.

Those who say its not worth it financially are wrong. It’s more accurate custom ammo for less money than factory target stuff no matter the deals.

I miss Wes too. He taught my kids how to reload.

This. +eleventy
Don't buy till you to test drive. Find a dude with a setup, walk through making your ammo using their equipment and insights.
Then, repeat with some other dude's setup.

I have both a Hornady LNL and a Lee 4-hole turret press. The turret press has been great, and is my go-to for certain tasks . . . but the LNL will get the job every time if it can be done on the LNL.

For example, I use the turret press for some obscure calibers for which I cannot get a shell plate for the LNL.

Can't think of much to add as far as basic getting started for pistol goes. I would get some akro bins, they are very useful.

just a quick note, i find titegroup makes tighter groups than hp-38 for 38/357..

I also like the youtube videos on reloading by jiu jitsu2000: https://www.youtube.com/user/jiujitsu2000

Currently some ammo is cheaper to buy, but that’s not always the case. I got into reloading when Sandyhook happened and ammo was almost nonexistent. Soon after, all reloading supply’s were gone for quite some time. Get into reloading and stock up on supplies for the possible future. I don’t believe in price gouging, but if something happens, powder and other supplies may become a very valuable commodity.
