Need a little more info, are you doing subsonic or supersonic and for a bolt gun or semi auto? If semi auto what’s your gas system length?

I’ve had good experience with lil gun for subs with 220gr bullets. Just bought some berry 220gr to try out and going to head to the range today to see how they run

Ive used AA 5744 for subs and its worked fine. Not a huge fan of it though since its not a spherical powder so doesnt play well for mass loadings.
AA 1680 is what I mostly use now for subsonic and also the heavier supersonic loads. (147gr pulls)
AA #9 is all ive tried with lighter supersonics (110gr ish)

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I suppose I’d like to know what would work best for both. I’m reloading for an AR with carbine gas system. The Hornady manual I have lists a lot of powders that show up in super and sub loadings. H110, lil’ gun, Alliant 2400, accurate no. 9, and imr 4227 are all listed for almost all bullet weights.

For subs I’d suggest aa1680 or lil gun in an ar, for a bolt gun you can use trail boss to make it extremely quiet. I don’t mess with supers at all since I just like subs in my 8” suppressed sbr.
