Most of you have seen the "Tini Home" show. What I'm doing (once it cools down) is converting the 5X8 trailer I used to move to OK into sort of a mini camper. One of the things I'm doing is adding a solar system with a power inverter for 110V AC power. Do I really need a Pure Sine Wave Inverter? It would mostly power a laptop, CPAP, and small TV.

Put in a local ad saying you recycle UPS and will take them for free.
Can usually put a $50 battery pack in an older 1200 watt unit and it will be good for a few years.
I have had so many of them when customers upgraded we had to get rid of them.
Businesses don't want to pay labor to replace the batteries so usually just replace the whole unit.
I have maybe 12 in my house, when the power goes out my only indication is the chirping and my grandfather clock light is off.
An APC UPS is about the best clean power you can buy for a reasonable price.

In my experience, no you don't need a pure sine. Modern laptops come with that huge brick of an AC adapter for a reason, and my last 4 laptops have ran just fine from my little radio shack special 250w inverter. Most CPAP have a huge AC adapter too so I think it'd be fine, but they aren't exactly cheap so it's still a bit of a gamble.

Small TV, not sure about today's flatscreens.

I would try them one by one with a regular modified inverter. I do know my cheapo modified inverter gets more wonky the more things you have running, but it has a safety fuse and trips before it's burned anything up.

For insulation I'm thinking about "denim" insulation, any thoughts?

Solid foam is the only thing I'd consider. Anything else will get packed down inside the walls.

I'd see if you can find a place that does spray foam. It's such a small area that they probably could do it with leftovers from a big job.

That's what my friend that does food trucks uses.
