Definitely a cool concept but $159.99 seems a little steep for what might be a little more novelty than necessity. |

I don't see the point Solar chargers are much cheaper and you don't need a stream or wind |

The same ad has been popping up for me too. Look at the specs that is going to take a good stream to make it work. Look at the peak power specs. |

Each method has advantages and disadvantages. Solar is not that great in W. Washington in the winter. 8 hours of cloudy sunlight, under lots of trees in our temperate rainforest. There isn't a lot of sun. But we do have a lot of streams here. Solar would be a lot better in E. WA and wind would work in many areas, especially at night. More for charging batteries than anything needing a constant flow of power. |

I love this idea. I've seen something similar with a car alternator on one of the back woods shows. |
