This keeps popping up on my feeds and I’m really tempted to buy one and test it out, anyone have one?

Definitely a cool concept but $159.99 seems a little steep for what might be a little more novelty than necessity.

I keep seeing that also.
I'm in the old school that says, "It's so simple, what's not to like about it?"

I don't see the point

Solar chargers are much cheaper and you don't need a stream or wind

Solar can't charge 24/7.

Hard to find a stream in much of the country

Wind dies down at night

The same ad has been popping up for me too. Look at the specs that is going to take a good stream to make it work. Look at the peak power specs.

Each method has advantages and disadvantages. Solar is not that great in W. Washington in the winter. 8 hours of cloudy sunlight, under lots of trees in our temperate rainforest. There isn't a lot of sun. But we do have a lot of streams here.
Solar would be a lot better in E. WA and wind would work in many areas, especially at night. More for charging batteries than anything needing a constant flow of power.

I love this idea. I've seen something similar with a car alternator on one of the back woods shows.

Hook an alternator to a bicycle and peddle you fat ass off!!

You can pedal all night in the snow if you like!

If you find a stream where that gidget works, your likely 50 miles from cell service anyways!!
