For use for radiation exposure. Potassium Iodine tablets 130mg tablets CDC - Adults 1 dose (130mg) per 24 hrs - typically that one dose is good for 24 hrs. (Obviously get out of radiation area) Children 3-18 (65mg) or if greater than 150 pounds (adult dose) Infants 1 month-3 (32mg) Newborns birth-1month (16mg) *Avoid repeating dosing for pregnant/breastfeeding and newborns. Did the pole before reading what you posted
I've got polar pure bottles for treating water in a pinch
Not sure what the amount of iodine that gets passed through when treating water to drink

From what I have read it doesn’t matter. You can take the pills and crush them and drink it. It’s the dosage or concentration. So look at the liquid and see what the breakdown is to get 130mg.
It’s recommended it be Potassium Iodine for radiation protection.
