It says KIKOMAN soy sauce right on them. If the abeling is true and nothing else has been stored in them since, they are FG. Be aware, they will probably smell like soy sauce and you will spend a day bleaching them and washing with HOT water to get the smell out.
I got mine from a distributor in/near woodinville? (it's been so long, I've forgotten) Good strong barrels.

My understanding is food grade refers to the type of plastic, not necessarily what was in them. These are in Lynnwood, but cheaper. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/for/ ... 88394.html

It may take a bit of research to find contact info, however this location is much closer to you. 47.155014, -122.384167 If you look at the Google street view, you'll see they have barrels for sale.

I got mine from a distributor in/near woodinville? (it's been so long, I've forgotten) Good strong barrels. Yeah I was under the impression that “food grade” meant virgin containers. If I get some it will be soon and they will definitely be cleaned out with bleach. They’ll be used for catchin rainwater off my metal roofed shop. Thanks

Perhaps google 'Rain Barrel Program', or 'Community Rain Barrel Program', including! And not including, your area in different ways (city, county, etc.)...
There are, from time to time, free programs where a household can get 1 or 2, (and sometimes more) free rain barrels, and accessories.
Each program has different goals, reducing sewer run-off, environmental impact, etc., ...
Even if the program has expired, send an inquiry email anyway.
I sent an e-mail to a community I don't even live in, long after the event, and they said come on by, we have leftovers....

If you want brand new ones I have some extras. If you need caps for the ones you got let me know have a few spares laying around as well.
As someone else said the food grade just means the type of plastic used is safe for food. If food was in them they are food grade. BTW you will rarely if ever get all the prior food smell out of your used barrels. For drinking water use new ones! For extra water for other things use the used ones. Like i said I have some extras of both if you are looking.
