Shit, I don't even have or want a radio, but I'm still amazed by and appreciative of all the work that TW has done here.

I updated the codeplug and posted it last night. Fixed the scan list so you don't have to program each one initially.

in other news, I've got an SDR, per TW's advise, to listen to other stuff that we can't listen to on VHF, namely my local PD
at $56 (it could be had cheaper) and potential to listen to almost anything under the sun i am pretty happy with it
https://www.amazon.com/NooElec-NESDR-Smart-Enclosure-R820T2-Based/dp/B01HA642SW/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Nooelec+NESDR+Smart+v4+Bundle+-+Premium+RTL-SDR+w%2FAluminum+Enclosure%2C+0.5PPM&qid=1606498515&sr=8-2
aaaaand, with MMDVM scheduled to come in today, the SDR can be plugged into it and be taken on the road or out in the field if i wanted to

exciting stuff  :thumbsup2:

I may have missed the question but.... Is somebody gonna keep a ID List somewhere, some how? and lockit up in the Secret Squirrel Locker? Or is it even necessary? And of Course thanks, for all the work, Gallon of Coffee enroute soon.

Eventually, maybe... But if there's only 20 people, it might not be necessary. Right now, it's just to keep them individual.

Eventually, with things like an MMDVM, or wide area repeater access, they'll come in handy if we use them for the advanced call/page/texting features.

Looks like fun stuff. I am a HAM general myself, but not that active. I mainly use it for APRS at music festivals with friends. Had a radio integrated into our totem (tall object you carry so friends can find you in the crowd). Great way so everyone can find the spot without having to actually communicate.

Between OpenGNU and the P25 project and that kalilinux distros have SDR and both boot from CD/SD, you will have lots of HAMs listening, mostly cause its what they do. An older telex slow format would probably get snooped a lot less. Android with an audio cable to the cheap baofengs work decently.

Some really good info about having relatively secure communications the old-fashioned way, with good ol' analog. Good tools in the toolbox:
