Well I'm havin' a blast learning on my little Baofeng, made multiple contacts on repeaters around me now and elswhere, even a buddy of mine up north of me.
This is cool stuff. Have got it set up on my PC too, like a poor man's MBITR with a hand mic and capable of plugging it into my ear pro. I've transmitted and received 28 miles away so far, out of a valley, to one of the repeaters on Tiger Mountain, talked to a couple folks yesterday. Can't wait to see where this is going. It's "branded" alright  |

I already knew a fair bit about electronics and studied for the test once before (way back in the 90s) but never took it.
