Is there a statistical correlation to increasing heat and increased crime?
Yes

As the start of a promising new summer (already broke 3rd day of heat record).

How do you carry in warm climate?
Do you carry something else (other than your primary choice select firearm)?
Do you change your holster or location of carry?
Do you not carry because it's too hard to conceal?

There are lots of thoughts on rotation and sticking to a primary carry only...

So many factors here but I like to see a discussion on where people are and why. This can show and trigger some thought for those newer to carry and/or even those that have been carrying for decades.

Still rocking the G45 with 2x 17rd mags on the other side. It prints some, so might drop to the P80 G19 after I run about about a five hundred rounds through it. Seem good to go, but I'm a cautious man.

This.

I dress around the gun, not the other way around.

G19. Sometimes a CPX-2 along with it.

For those newer to carrying...

Rotation of firearm may be a simple choice if you only have 1 or 2 and one of those or both are full size firearms.

Some folks may say not to rotate firearms (if one has multiple choices of differing size or even caliber). So let’s say you have dozens of different choices from micro to full size then that’s a different discussion than just having 1 or even 2 guns to choose from.

If you are like me I only have one nice pair of dress shoes. So when I wear slacks I am pretty much wearing my only pair of dress shoes.

Ideally 1 Gun is all you need but we don’t live in an ideal world. We do stuff in all climate and environments.

My message to you...
You have to look at what, where and how to make it work for you.

Only time I change is in the boat if I have swim trunks on. Then I have a nifty boat bag that I clip on the shift/reverse cable so its right next to my arm but under the side of the boat out of sight.

As others have mentioned, dress around the gun. I personally dress and look like Don Johnson on Miami Vice so many don't look for me gunn.

I don't like doing the whole dressing around a gun thing, so thankfully with my sw 637 or p365 I don't have to. There are too many other things I have to focus on.
