What are the current laws on adding somebody to a trust that owns suppressors and SBR's?

Depends on if your trust is before or after the 41f rules change and how your trust was written. You need to talk to the person that wrote your trust.

Thanks. Does the government not have a say and override whatever the trust says?

I think mine just has me making an ammendment. No law saying I have to inform anyone about it. In fact, I'm pretty sure I can add you, drop myself, and have effectuvely transfered all my NFA stuff to you tax free since the trust owns them.

Let's try it, to see if it works. Am I sure about any gun law at this point? lol, hell no! But looking at the way mine is set up, it seems like I can change the person in charge of it all, and then remove myself from it entirely. Atbthat point, I don't see why items in the assignment of property form wouldn't stay in the trust. Mainly because the trust holds the items and we're just trustees that have possession. At least how I see it. Come to think of it though, I do need to get all my ammendments from moving notarized...

I will add that my trust was made before the 41p thing. My recent form 1 was an e-file. I uploaded a copy of my trust with ammendments for address change, stating I was the only responsible person in the trust, and with out any of my inventory/assignment of property forms. I do have a friend as a trustee, but I didnt have any kickback from the ATF. My responsible person form 5320(?) Was completed and uploaded as well.
