We were sitting around planning our Thanksgiving meal the other day. Really looking forward to cooking and of course eating We picked up a bone-in ham and a small, 12lb turkey yesterday morning. So our meal looks like: Roasted turkey Ham Homemade stuffing Homemade mashed potatoes Homemade collard greens or green bean casserole (maybe) Store bought pumpkin and pecan pies Anyone else looking forward to Turkey day? Any special recipes in the works?

This may be blasphemy, but I love stuffing, and I've had lots of different kinds, at friends and families, and expensive restaurants...and none of them beat stove top mixed with spicy sausage.

Nah. Stove top is great and we really enjoy it here. This year I have a bit of a wild hair to make homemade stuffing since I have only done that a handful of times in my life. Plus it makes coordinating all the dishes on the big day a bit easier. I've never thought of adding extras to the stove top mix though. Cool.

Yep. Stove top can be a meal if you treat it like ramen and add meat and veggies. Also, stove top mixed in meatloaf is the BEST!!! In both cases stove top is better than any other stuffing mix I've used. Oh. And thanksgiving... Thankfully I am going to a friend's house. But if I do it at home... Stove Top. Lemon crispy chicken boobies. (Homemade) Sweet taters Super buttered veggies Mashed taters and brown gravy Store bought punkin pie with cool whip That's my standard fare for Thanksgiving and Christmas, both. It's my own "tradition". Started a few years after I got divorced and realized I was getting depressed not having the kids around for holiday dinners.

Shoulda come up with this scam long ago, lol. As long as you can still hold a bottle or a drink, you're GTG.
