Read this on Man-Lizards web site....

Lady Interviewer: Do you shoot often?

Man: Yes.

Lady Interviewer: How much do you shoot at the target range?

Man: Around 3 boxes of ammo give or take.

Lady Interviewer: How much does a box cost?

Man: Roughly $30.00 at a sporting goods store

Lady Interviewer: And how long have you been target shooting?

Man: 35 years.

Lady Interviewer: You are shooting about four times a month at a cost of about $150.00, so that's $600 each month and you're spending about $7,200 per year, right?

Man: Correct.

Lady Interviewer: If in 1 year you spend $7,200 on ammo, not accounting for inflation, 35 years puts your spending roughly $252,000; correct?

Man: Correct.

Lady Interviewer: Did it ever occur to you that if you never shot guns for the past 35 years you'd have enough money for a brand new Ferrari?

Man: Do you shoot?

Lady Interviewer: No.

Man: So, where's your Ferrari?

That's pretty much where my rant about the polyps comes from.

I had TWO colonoscopies recently.

Only had the second one, (and within 2 months of the first), because they scared the crap out of my friends about me having tons of polyps.

Actually told my friend, there must be a hundred of them. Told him and me both that it was more polyps than they'd ever seen before.

Thing is...

I was awake for the entire thing, the first time. Watched the entire thing, on the screen. Saw him miss two polyps. Wondered why he passed them by. They were as clear as day.

Then all the hoopla and scary scary, gotta get them finished, and there were more than they'd EVER seen!!! So, I rescheduled.

When I went in the second time, I told the doc he was only going to find two of them. He made sure I was knocked out this time.

I woke up sooner than he expected, though. He and the other specialist in the room, have to say and repeat the number of polyps they found, for the records. They said "TWO"...

THEN... He saw that I was awake already, and if looks could kill, I'da been dead right there.

Did a bunch of research after that. Asked a couple of different doctors.

That's how I found out the polyps are just skin tags. And from a doctor's mouth... Guess what else is "pre-cancerous"... Your entire body!

I don't care if my current doc decides that I am not a good patient. I am never going to have one of those again. Unless.... I do the poop in a box thing, and they tell me I DO have cancer.

They are a scam. Think about it... Pablo pooped in a box, and was told he didn't have cancer. This is an excuse to get a bunch of money from your insurance, for something that is not needed. And the more polyps they find, the more they can justify it to the insurance company.

Polyps are just skin tags as long as they're not cancerous, then, they are a cancerous tumor, and due to the region, can metasticize fairly easily...

Many folks, both men and women, have died in their 30's, 40's, 50's, due to colon cancer. To mischaracterize the need for screening based on a fuzzy recall & assumptions you made is irresponsible, at best.

The 'poo in a box' is great for those who won't go for a colonoscopy, but it's not foolproof.

They were created to increase participation in screening, because the death rate for colo-rectal cancer was rising dramatically, but people still weren't going for screening.

There are two types of the stool test, and both look for tiny amounts of blood in the stool that might be shed by cancer or polyps.

But, there is an error rate. So, it could come back clean if your poo wasn't bloody that day, and they've also come back positive, when there was no cancer.

If there is ny hint, then you go in for the colonoscopy.

Of the two, the FIT (fecal immunochemical test, or FIT), is the better one. If done every year, over time, it's success gets better.

As with all procedures and choices of doctors, research is important.

My kid's restaurant/lounge was just voted "Best Dive Bar" by Seattle Magazine. (It's Seattle; "Dive Bar" is a good thing, I think)

It is.
However, the reality of what is considered a dive bar in this region would be considered a nice bar in other regions. I have yet to see a true dive of a bar in this market. I was told upon arrival that Mecca Cafe is a dive. [emoji2377]

Funny... the image got cropped. This is the the image his friend sent after seeing the 2019 issue.

EDIT: The image he sent was split in two and edited. I hope he wasn't (and me by extension  ) the subject of a hoax... Here's the the top half of the image that completes the graphic I initially tried to post
