For ease I just use Tapatalk to upload any pics. It automatically converts to right size and file type.
So I would create thread and then post pics using Tapatalk. You can use other routes by converting picture before but I just found that the easiest as I don’t have to do anything before to convert it beforehand.

I know its my fault, but its fucking frustrating, especially not knowing why. Direct upload or image hosting site? Photo too large? BAC? You told us not tk upload photos unless necessary. Use Imgur. Idk, bullshit. Fed up.

So there’s been a rash lately of photos laying on their sides and confusion. It seems to happen more with iPhone users but maybe affects other mobile devices as well. Not sure. But a quick fix.
When you take a photo with your iPhone the software automatically orientates “true north” of the photo based on your phone’s gyro sensor. This info is saved in the photo’s data somewhere. All iPhones can pick it up and orientate the photo correct in the viewer.
Lately most discussion forum software isn't reading Apple's 'data' so when you take a photo with an iPhone with the phone held 'long ways' aka sideways, and upload it somewhere, chances are it'll be sideways about 90 degrees.
Currently the only real way to “fix it” to force your mobile device to orientate the true north of the photo is to EDIT the photo by rotating it 90/180/270 degrees, saving it, then EDITing it again, rotating it back straight, and saving it again. Then upload it and they'll be fine. It's not just here. The interwebz blames Apple of course, who knows what's really going on. There's lots of info on the 'net about it just search for "iPhone photos upload sideways"
So if a photo is uploaded to Waguns from an iPhone and viewed from another iPhone it will look correct even though from another mobile device or a computer it will be sideways, upside down, etc. Just get used to editing all your pictures 90 degrees and back again and they’ll be perfect.
Hope this helps!

Good advice gopher. Another thing to remember is that iPhone natively orientates photos in landscape mode with the volume buttons on to the top right of the phone. So, I you are holding your phone upright, rotate 90 degrees clockwise and that is "up" for Apple. Take your photos in the "up" position and it will display on forums fine.

Imgur changed it's image editing tools a while ago, I haven't figured out an easy way to resize an image over there to post here without taking up half the page But I did find that a modifier can be added to the file name to specify a smaller image: s = 90× 90 = Small Square b = 160× 160 = Big Square t = 160× 160 = Small Thumbnail m = 320× 320 = Medium Thumbnail l = 640× 640 = Large Thumbnail h = 1024×1024 = Huge Thumbnail So if the original image is this: https://i.imgur.com/dqHTC0R.jpgAnd you change it to this: https://i.imgur.com/dqHTC0Rm.jpg you get this: In stead of this:

I didn't know that . . . I always resize before I upload, but in some cases this will be easier.

This Is Only A Test. I was just informed that someone could not see the photo in my for sale post. So I just wanted to post it here. If one of you would be so kind to reply to this telling me if they can or cannot see an upside down stripped AR upper. Thanks
