What is the thread size and twist on a STOCK Glock 9mm threaded barrel? Is there a difference with after market threaded barrels?

Is there such a thing as a stock threaded Glock barrel?
Most 9mm threaded barrels are 1/2x28 here in the U.S.

Most 9mm threaded barrels are 1/2x28 here in the U.S. This is why I asked: Quote: This listing is for a 9mm M13.5x1 Left Hand barrel Thread protector. It is machined from US made steel to very high quality standards on CNC lathes in my shop. It has a durable black oxide finish. It is designed for metric threaded barrels. It will fit Glock , Heckler and Koch, Beretta and more. Length is .525" Outside diameter is .640 With a clean crisp knurl. Please confirm your thread size before ordering. Isn't that "paintball" metric thread? Also, I'm wondering if the guy left out the word, "not". *see in red.

That's the European thread for 9mm.
And sure, that thread protector will fit anything that's threaded M13.5x1 LH, no matter what brand it's for.
Why are you asking? Thinking about buying a thread protector before you get a barrel? I wouldn't. Wait until you see which barrel you're going to get . . . especially because sometimes the barrel comes with a thread protector.

Didn’t the factory Glock threaded barrels use some odd thread rate?

Steve helped me figure it out. 1/2 28 will work on the barrel I'm getting.

I have a factory Glock threaded barrel in 13.5 LH for my 9MM suppressor. Many, many moons ago: like in 2009 I was told there is enough bearing surface for the 9MM to unscrew the can? So it was recommended to use the 13.5 LH thread, but that was even before they were LEGAL!

Glock factory threaded barrels are M13. I have a G19TB model (2015 model ,tall sights & threaded barrel) that I sold the factory barrel out of and replaced with a 1/2x28 instead of buying another piston for my can.

You mean the company that's been doing things more or less the same since they started, and is known for the modularity of their products? Uh, yeah, there are "standard" things in Glocks. You must be confused with Sig, who develops a new magazine pattern every time they have an new idea for customers to test...
