I've searched through Google Earth, using USPS boundary maps as a guide, to look for places to shoot.
Are any of the known places already established on federal land?

Are any of the known places already established on federal land? Sorry, no guns allowed at the post office.

I use an app called onx that allows me to see property boundries such as state private and federal. There are many aps out that do the work for you and usually good to have on you. https://www.onxmaps.com/

It's a drive. But it's gorgeous. And it's Federal at that point.

Thanks a lot!
I have a feeling my sedan won't make it out there. Is it a rough road? Looks like the tree-covered section might be. And the creek crossing looks like a big risk - don't know how the roads out here are maintained.
I'm used to driving far to get to where I want.

I'm used to driving far to get to where I want. There's no driving through creekbeds or water, it's all actual road. Dirt road, but road. Couple bridges. It's logging roads all through there. Your sedan MIGHT make it. It's the last stretch that's kind of steep, along with the stretch of road that goes up to Little Gee Lake. If you're looking at google maps, it's the big rectangle just south of the coordinates. It's otherwise just dusty as fuck. Lotta potholes, but just go slow. As a side note, I've only been up to Little Gee Lake once, and it was fucking creepy. Parked on the road and walked down to the southwest shore. For one thing, maybe it was just shape of the trees but looking across to the northeast shore sorta fucked with your eyes...like the trees were both far away and close. Also, no sound. You're standing in the middle of the woods, surrounded, allegedly, by birds, bugs, critters, wind, etc. I heard one bird, once. That's it. No wind, no rustling, no bugs, no other birds, no critters, none of the usual background noise you would expect in the middle of the woods. It was fucking weird.

That’s because it’s pretty damn close to Concrete!!!
