I remember the last place I heard the full version on the radio. A trip to Walt Disney World in 1992. Up late, jet lagged, I found a local Orlando station with a DJ that clearly liked his long breaks. I'm pretty sure he played American Pie and Stairway to Heaven that night too. Amazing rock station that I listened to most of the few days we were there.

But it was FM radio, of course...

Not the first place...the last place. It's not exactly popular on "classic rock" stations now that they play Nirvana and Pearl Jam nonstop.

In my defense, it’s pretty easy to miss a truck or two in your yard.

Did all that and taught myself 6502 assembler on a VIC20! Massive 5KB expansion board and cassette tape mass storage to boot.

I remember being 10 or 11 and coding straight ML from Compute! magazine for the C64. People wonder how I can detect errors in Excel sheets and such these days. Well trained eyes! Assembly too, if I recall, which helped for my CS classes in college. I never heard of anyone able to code ML from scratch, but there were lots of guys who could do assembly language for the C64. Most of us kids used BASIC.

Eventually my old man realized I needed more fresh air and just ordered the 5-1/4" with all the programs from each issue. I think I had about 3,000 C64 games at one point, but mostly those Compute ones. They kept me from getting a Nintendo because many were just as good or better. Except for about half a dozen titles, most NES games sucked.

I'll add to the porno stuff. Taking walks along train tracks, finding a small tree covered cove along the way, furniture in said location, and porno magazines strewn about. Those types of places along the tracks were always full of porno mags. Same goes for old vacant houses.
