I remember when this came out on HBO in the 70s, watched this in pieces all the time. Crazy the full movie is online. Certainly can't recreate many aerial scenes anymore outside of CGI. Decent movie, not too much wrong with it, captures many of the necessary details, at least the ones I and others seem to know about (not that I'm an expert, far from it). No English subtitle here, but I've watched it so often (in the 70s) I know what they are saying.
The book provides more detail, but this commentary is interesting. Warfare may involve tactics and strategy but depends on logistics and Mission-Enemy-Troops-Terrain-Time (METT-T). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Bridge_Too_Far_(book)
