Sent to Oregon the last 2 weeks to help unfuck a large poorly managed jobsite that's behind schedule and has quality of manpower issues.

The local hires are either inexperienced apprentices with a desire to work hard but need some direction from experienced hands, or slack jawed journeyman who see this an opportunity to soak up 60 hours a week of OT without too much effort on their part. There a couple exceptions to these generalizations, but most of the journeyman were worthless fucks who are stealing money from the company by coming to work everyday as far as I 'm concerned. We have a "trickle down" profit sharing/bonus program in place, so them squandering the project budget does result in me making less money should the job qualify for an employee bonus.

Then I find out the Carpenter's Union in Oregon is fighting to have even more worthless journeyman doing mindless repetative tasks that we normally hire laborer's for in Washington & California , there's a $5+-/hr difference between the two trades and the company would rather have Carpenter's build stuff and Laborer's take it apart and clean up the mess. No carpenter worth a shit likes stripping forms and sweeping up, except in Oregon those worthless fucks are fighting for more slots to be made available.

This morning I requested that an individual be dismissed for intentionally wasting time while on OT yesterday and then wasn't tied off to a fall protection system as required by OSHA and company policy while working on a 20' foot high elevated concrete deck with no handrail system in place. He appeared to be struggling getting his task done so I went and helped him/did his job in 15 minutes, after that he told me he had planned to drag ass for the remaining 1.5 HRs of OT left in the day to accomplish the same thing. He doesnt know who I am or what position I hold in the company, or that my supervisor whom he's working for/with yesterday, is a Project Superintendant in Seattle. Yet he's blabbing about fucking off while making OT and then after I jobbed him and ran him out of work ( I assumed he'd move on to more pressing tasks) he decided he was done working for the day and wasn't going to work 10 hours like the rest of the crew that stayed past 8 hours. I was told the site is too short handed to dismiss anyone unless it's a major safety violation/drugs/fighting. Fucking guy is taking up a spot that someone who WANTS to work could be in and it'd be a win/win for everyone except the shitbag wasting time. Unproductive worthless motherfuckers arent an asset, they're a liability, particularly when they're willing to break the mandatory safety rules because they're lazy. "You'd never make it in Seattle kid".

I'll be working in Seattle tomorrow on my last day on that jobsite and I'm pretty sure I'll have something else to pissed off about , retards wasting my time more then likely, but I'll save that for tomorrow.

I pay ahead of schedule so I dont have to talk to her much.

Just an FYI, if you're paying her directly, use checks/ Money Orders, and keep proof you paid.

A coworker was paying cash (had 2 part time jobs in food service, so cash tips prior to coming back to work in construction) as he could afford it and the ex's new boyfriend convinced the ex that my coworker must be hiding something if he was paying cash instead fo sending money through the State. State came after him and he owed $4K back support based on the divorce decree since he didnt have any proof he'd paid her every month the full amount , but based on his current income since the divorce lowered his support amount $100 a month and then the State realized the ex was getting way too much assistance based on what he could prove he'd paid the ex in child support and cut her daycare assistance $600/month and then the new boyfriend dumped her.

Ouch! I do electronic transfer, and keep records of the transfers. I come from a split family, I saw the shit my mom pulled on my dad.

State sucks it right out of my pay...I don't even see it. All I see are text messages and FB messages about how she's going to Florida next month for a week with her latest boy toy and then getting married in July in Kauai. At least I know what my "child" support is going towards.
