I think the ffl's should have a specific color.

I agree, this would be very helpful since it isn't always clear, especially when the user name, avatar, and/or signature don't make it clear they're an FFL. It meant more in the pre-594 days but I'd still like to know if a poster is likely to have additional stock or be able to order something specific.

Let me tell you what we already have for dealers, and then you can tell me if you think we need more. 1) If they are posting under the FFL section (e.g., I5 Guns & Ammo, Precise Shooter, etc.) then I think it's pretty clear that they are a dealer. 2) Under their username it will say "FFL / Dealer" or something similar. Check out K&E Arms and spdski, for example: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=50501viewtopic.php?f=8&t=500323) In the regular classifieds section, the dealers need to specify that a 4473 is required and if sales tax is included. See the examples above, and also reference rule #9: Rules for the Classifieds (Buying, Selling and Browsing)Es claro o no?

I think when spdski first started posting, there may not have been an FFL designation under the user name and maybe that's what I'm remembering. I only knew that person was an FFL because another poster had mentioned it (it was also within the text of spdski's post, to be fair).
Me, I'm a skimmer, especially when perusing the ads. Being able to very quickly skim through a thread and pick out something really obvious -- the color of the user's name or their avatar, for example -- is always helpful. Necessary? No.
Thanks for the extra info on the FFL label, I'm not sure I had really thought to look for it in the past.

Im sure I will get banned for mentioning TOS, but they do have something that I think if possible here, wpuld work well.
That is the different color of their entire thread post in either new posts or in the specific sub forum. If FFLs were all highlighted a different color, would be nice to know before I even open that thread.

Having their name color show different in the classified area lets everyone know they are a dealer. Instead of clicking than seeing it under their name.

Some of us have to work and don't get to lay around being unproductive.

What color do you think would help stand them apart from others?

Would either teal or purple work? Yellow would also stand out but I don't know how readable it would be.
