I really want an Ithica Auto and Burglar, made in the 20s. Since it is AOW I could have it in Washington with a stamp. But the last one I found is $4900! Image

If I lived in a free state I would just cut down my SxS 20 gauge and make my own SBS like this:

But since I don't live in a free state (yet) If I could find a combi rifle (like a Savage 24 in .22 LR/20 or .357/20), I could cut it down and make an AOW. Like this except with a cut down stock: Image

But then I found the Italian firearms manufacturer Davide Pedersoli has launched their new version of the Howdah pistol this year, chambered in .45 LC / .410 bore. It's just a pistol, no tax stamp required. It just requires $1350!

I get a little chub just looking at these...

They don't make the Howdah in the original .577? :mulletslayer:
I'd buy one if it was in 45/70 +p

Pedersoli used to make a blackpowder Howdah for about $600
Came in 20x20 ga, .50x50, .58x.58, and 20ga x.50
Can also add a detachable shoulder stock, no paperwork.

I dunno, sounds like it would still be a SBS?

You can get a Leinad Model DD for under $100. Tame with .45lc, fucking brutal with .410 shot shells. Ask Jukk0u how much fun the .410 is. Pretty sure he still has the scabs, unless they've already turned into scars.

You'd think someone would make oversize rubber grips for it.
That looks similar to the waterpipe gun kit they used to sell in the back of Shotgun News.

I have this in a single shot. I haven't shot it yet.

You're probably best off with the single. I've been having some issues with the barrel selector moving when the hammer drops on my double. Just make sure to start off with .45lc until you master the 20lbs trigger. Then give some .410 a go. We were shooting American Eagle .45lc and Federal Premium .410 handgun 000 buckshot. That .410 will surprise ya!
