I'd like to post vids here from time to time to get an honest opinion of what people think, not only legally, but morally as well... I'd like some input from all sides....
Moral and legal Moral but not legal Not moral but legal Not moral OR legal
I'll start off with this...
You're riding in the back of this truck....
The driver gets out to ask people to get out of his way... when things start going sideways they leave, as they're leaving they're attacked.. one man in the back is hit, and appears another is swinging a rock/pipe at the truck, hitting it numerous times..
You're in the back, with your friend having been hit and a man swinging a pipe/rock/small hard object at you and/or the vehicle....
Shoot or don't shoot?
Personally, I think this is borderline.. A weapon is involved, and a crowd is involved.. The weapon being a pipe.. If that was in play, I think having a weapon at the ready/aimed is appropriate, if it can be done with a clear backstop, which is gonna be hard to do. One could say that the group assaulting you, although unarmed, creates a disparity of force, and they're a good backstop (questionable morally,IMO)..
I think that, once the pipe was out, I'd draw, and if it was swung in my direction, I'd fire..
What say ya'll?

I think people are lucky they dont get shot when they park and approach cars in an intersection period. If we're at a traffic light, do not approach my car or knock on my window, even if you're a suler citizen picking up litter, its a good way to get yourself shot, right or wrong.

I think the only complicating factor is that they have a vehicle, and the easiest thing to do is simply drive away or drive through them. Stopping, doesn't help... imho.
