I don't think she's a cop with THAT wedding ring....
Plus, protection agents are supposed to be looking out, with eyes always moving, not at the protectee....

^ That's a happy ending for sure, but I think she was pretty lucky. You can see her pause with the pistol out in plain view for a couple of heartbeats; she's lucky that he didn't see it and pop HER.
